Stuart
has been a resident in Sutton in Craven since 1987 but has
spent much of that time away serving in the Royal Navy.
Since leaving the Navy in 2001, Stuart has given the best
part of his spare time to community projects in the village.
He was Chairman of the Village Committee from 2001 to late
2006.
After
stepping down as Chairman he remained on the committee for
a further six months until deciding to take a break altogether
to concentrate on his own time and family projects. This
was not to be and was very quickly seconded to the Cricket
Club committee and he was elected Chairman in November 2007.
Stuart
is a keen cricket player and hopes his enthusiasm both on
and off the field will help the club to move forward.
A
family man, Stuart is married to Christine (who helps with
the tea on match days) and has two daughters Victoria (whos
partner plays for Suttons first team and is a junior coach/team
manager) and Claire (Scorer for Suttons second team).
